01Who we are
LexForge is run by LexForge Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17219268). Our registered office is 5 Brayford Square, London, England, E1 0SG. You can reach us at support@lexforge.app.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean LexForge Ltd. "You" means the firm or business that holds the LexForge workspace, and the people it lets use it.
02Who LexForge is for
LexForge is for businesses and professional firms, not for consumers. By creating a workspace, you confirm you are acting for a business and have authority to accept these terms for it.
03What LexForge does
LexForge rebuilds scanned PDFs and Word files as editable Word drafts, with or without your firm's house style. It reads the words with optical character recognition (OCR) and uses AI to work out headings, numbering and layout. Any word the AI reads from a page image must match a separate OCR reading or be confirmed by a person.
Every draft is checked against the words read from your file, and words read with low confidence are highlighted for review. This check confirms the draft matches what was read. It cannot prove that a poor-quality scan was read correctly. If LexForge cannot check a document safely, it may return a copy marked for review, or no file.
Word headers and footers are kept where possible. If some cannot be rebuilt, their text is listed in a note at the top of a review copy for you to check against the original. Word files containing equations or fields that fetch outside content are refused.
04Your responsibility for the output
Customers remain responsible for reviewing generated documents before use. LexForge produces drafts, not legal advice, and the wording check does not replace professional review. Compare every draft with the original before you rely on it, send it or file it.
05Accounts and access
Your firm decides who joins its workspace, and each plan includes a set number of users. Keep sign-in details private and tell us straight away at support@lexforge.app if you think an account has been misused. We may limit who can open a new workspace or start a trial.
06Free trial
The free trial is a one-off allowance of 200 Reconstruct pages and 50 Reconstruct with House Style pages for one user. It needs no payment card, and one file can have up to 60 pages during the trial, or up to 50 pages for Reconstruct with House Style. Each person can use the trial once. Trial pages do not renew.
07Plans, payment and page packs
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in pounds sterling, through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices, page allowances, user numbers and page packs are set out on the pricing page. Any VAT that applies is shown at checkout.
Each plan has two monthly page allowances, one for Reconstruct and one for Reconstruct with House Style, shared across your firm's users. Allowances reset at the start of each billing period, and unused pages do not carry over. Page packs need a paid plan, are used after the monthly allowance and stay valid for 12 months from purchase.
If a payment fails, we may pause new uploads until it is paid. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change affects your plan.
08Cancelling
A workspace admin can cancel a paid plan at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.
09Acceptable use
Customers must not upload unlawful material, malware, credentials, or documents they are not authorised to process. Do not try to get around plan limits, security controls or other customers' access. Usage is subject to plan limits and abuse controls.
10Your documents
Your documents, and the drafts made from them, stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide LexForge to you. We never use customer documents to train AI models.
How we handle personal data, where documents are processed and how long they are kept are set out in our privacy notice and on the security page. For document content, we act on your firm's instructions. If your firm needs a data processing agreement, email support@lexforge.app.
11Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep LexForge running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. Maintenance, faults and outside providers can affect it. We may change or improve features. If a change removes something important from your plan, we will tell you first.
12Suspending or closing a workspace
We may suspend a workspace if these terms are seriously broken, if a payment is not made, or if we need to protect LexForge or other customers. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first.
You can ask us to close your workspace and delete its files at any time by emailing support@lexforge.app.
13Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, revenue or data. Our total liability to you under these terms in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. During a free trial, when you have paid nothing, it is limited to £100.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date and email workspace admins about any significant change before it takes effect.
15Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
